Request a visit with Dr. Patel

Dr. Patel reads every request himself and replies by email, usually within two business days. If he can help, the reply includes your invitation to the patient portal.

Before you start: Dr. Patel sees patients by video who are located in New York, California, Georgia, South Carolina, Minnesota or Kansas at the time of the visit, and the practice does not bill Medicare or Medicaid. If that isn't you, you're still welcome to write — he may be able to point you toward someone else.

Fees and how paying works

Self-pay practice. No insurance is billed. That is what makes 90-minute visits, records read in advance, and a direct line possible.
You get a quote first. Dr. Patel scopes the visit and quotes the fee by email before you commit to anything.
A written good-faith estimate comes with the quote and matches it, before you schedule — as federal law requires.
An itemized superbill with CPT and ICD-10 codes after every visit, to submit to your insurer for any out-of-network benefit.
HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Labs and imaging are billed by the laboratory or imaging center, not by this practice. You can use your insurance there; your plan’s rules on coverage, copays and network apply, and some HMO plans require an in-network referral. Ask about prior authorization when a test is ordered.
Secure messaging through this portal is included with a visit, for follow-up questions about the plan.
